1. When can I buy an EVIN enabled car?

2. How is the EVIN enabled car different from a regular car? Do I have to learn how to drive differently?

  • The car is the same between the gas and EVIN except the engine, gas tank and transmission is replaced with a standardized enclosure that includes the platform of batteries and electric motor. The EVIN components replace the same footprint of the removed gas vehicle components.

3. Who are the people involved with EVIN?

  • EVIN has primarily been members of the Guimarin extended family and friends; accountants, engineers, machinists, serial entrepreneurs, and auto enthusiasts.  Everyday people who believe in a 100% electric vehicle that maintains our tradition of open road driving. 

4. How long will a platform last?

  • The platform is replaced with another platform each time you visit the service station.

    Unlike plug-in electric only electric vehicles, the EVIN capable platform utilizes both the plug-in recharge capability and a spent battery exchange capability.   Batteries may be dynamically exchanged for a battery that has 100% energy storage.  This platform exchange capability provides the owner investment protection and a clear path to exploiting newer and more powerful battery technologies as they become available.

5. How far can I go?

  • Travel distance will depend on driving habits similar to gas mileage. The estimated distance for EVIN is 100 miles.

6. Do the batteries currently exist?

  • Yes. The EVIN platform of batteries uses existing Lithium Ion battery technology.

7. Do I have to maintain batteries?

  • No, EVIN maintains and recycles them. You only purchase the energy in the batteries.

8. Are the batteries recyclable?

  • Yes. EVIN will only use batteries that are recyclable. EVIN will require recycling of batteries from the manufacturer.

9. Can I recharge at home?

  • Yes, the EVIN platform can be recharged anywhere. EVIN is here to allow you safe, secure and reliable travel.

10. Can existing vehicles be converted to work with the EVIN system?

  • Yes, vehicles can be converted to work with the EVIN exchange system. The EVIN network will include all vehicles that use the EVIN exchange system and its supportive EV infrastructure network.

11. Will new Electric Vehicles (EVs) be manufactured to work with the EVIN system?

  • Yes, new Electric Vehicles can be manufactured to work with the EVIN system. However, this will happen sooner as we convince automobile manufacturers that there is a market for this type of Electric Vehicle.

12. Why is this a better system than are Hybrid vehicles?

  • The EVIN system does not use gasoline engines. Hybrid vehicles need to have both electric motors and gasoline engines.

    EVIN believes a 100% electric vehicle; used in conjunction with, a wide spread and readily available battery exchange capability removes the travel distance limitations of plug-in only EVs.   EVIN’s solution provides the ability to travel the same as you would with your current gasoline driven vehicle without the fuel, maintenance, and pollution of a two engine system.
